THE HARLEM CHAMBER PLAYERS

A new and exciting avenue that Andrew has been exploring is the world of Arts Administration. In his role as General Manager at The Harlem Chamber Players he has had the pleasure of coordinating behind the scenes details for all their exciting programs. From being involved in the production of their debut album and teaching songwriting workshops, to coordinating rehearsal schedules and securing venues – Andrew has had the opportunities to use his skills as a composer and music director to serve an organization with a powerful mission.

NEW ENGLAND MUSIC CAMP

Since 2022, Andrew has worked with high school students entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year, inside the Music Theater College Prep Intensive. This two-week program is designed to prepare participants for applicant auditions into university musical theatre programs. MTCPI was founded by Stephen Agosto, who drafted the nationally recognized criteria in 2018 and is currently the Line Producer at the Goodspeed Musicals in Connecticut.

PAPERMILL PLAYHOUSE

The role of a teaching artist is something that appears often in the career paths of musicians. For the past eight years, Andrew has had the honor of working with the brilliant teaching artists that make up the Paper Mill Playhouse Faculty. Having had the unique privilege of working at Paper Mill’s July Conservatory, August Intensive, as well as the 2020 Virtual Conservatory – Andrew has coached, taught, and created arrangements for several classes of talented students that have sought to augment their skills with everything the Paper Mill programs have to offer.

NYC PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Through his work as a teaching artist for The Harlem Chamber Players, Andrew was able to teach songwriting intensives to groups of students at public schools in New York City. Through these programs, students that ranged in age from 12-21 were guided through a collaborative process that utilized each of their individual ideas to compose original songs. These songs were then given to professional artists to perform, culminating in a virtual show and tell for the students followed by a group reflection on the power of collaboration and the joy of seeing your art come to life. tell your story online can make all the difference.
